Job summary

Dyno Nobel in Simsbury, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for a temporary assignment in the Electronics Department. You will drive continuous improvement, partner with site leadership, operations, and maintenance to identify opportunities, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement sustainable solutions that enhance safety, quality, and performance.

Responsibilities include improving processes, promoting Zero Harm, ensuring HSE compliance, leading standard work, line balancing, OEE

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in an engineering field and 3+ years in manufacturing operations or continuous improvement.
  • Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, OEE improvement, process optimization, or root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify problems, root causes, and sustainable solutions.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing manufacturing data to drive improvements.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP or Minitab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and optimize manufacturing performance.
  • Partner with site leadership, operations, and maintenance to identify opportunities and reduce waste.
  • Lead standard work, line balancing, workflow improvements, and bottleneck reduction.
  • Establish performance baselines, targets, and optimize OEE.
  • Apply Lean and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Conduct time studies, process analyses, and data-driven root-cause investigations.
