Job summary

Dyno Nobel Inc. in Simsbury, Connecticut is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer to lead continuous improvement in our Electronics Department.

You will partner with site leadership, operations, and maintenance to identify opportunities, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement sustainable solutions that boost safety, quality, and productivity. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field and 3+ years of experience, with Lean, Six Sigma, and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; 3+ years manufacturing ops.
• Experience applying Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, OEE improvement, process optimization, or root cause analysis.
• Strong analytical skills to identify problems, root causes, and sustainable solutions.
• Experience collecting and analyzing manufacturing data to drive improvements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP, Minitab, or manufacturing data systems preferred.
• Must be willing to undergo ATF background check for explosives.
• Positive attitude, team player.

Responsibilities

• Improve production processes and equipment effectiveness to support operational excellence.
• Lead safety leadership and zero harm initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and implement manufacturing improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Collaborate with leadership to implement standard work and line balancing.
• Establish baselines, targets, and improve OEE.
• Apply Lean and continuous improvement to reduce waste and cut costs.
• Conduct time studies, flow analyses, and layout evaluations to find opportunities.
• Collect and analyze data to identify root causes and measure results.
• Lead implementation of improvements with sustainable controls.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and contractors.
• Identify and introduce innovative technologies to enhance capability.
