Job summary

Dyno Nobel in the United States seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement within the Electronics Department. You will partner with site leadership, operations, and maintenance to identify opportunities, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement sustainable solutions that boost safety, quality, and performance.

You will lead time studies, process analyses, and bottleneck reduction initiatives while promoting Zero Harm and standard work across the line.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field (Industrial/Manufacturing/Mechanical/Automation/Mechatronics).
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, process improvement, industrial engineering, or continuous improvement.
  • Experience applying Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, OEE improvement, process optimization, or root cause analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify problems, determine root causes, and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP, Minitab, or manufacturing data systems preferred.
  • Willingness to undergo ATF background check as required for explosives.

Responsibilities

  • Improve production processes, increase equipment effectiveness, and support operational excellence.
  • Lead time studies, process analyses, material flow studies, and layout evaluations.
  • Identify opportunities, eliminate inefficiencies, and implement sustainable solutions that raise safety/quality/throughput.
  • Partner with leadership to implement standard work, line balancing, and bottleneck reduction.
  • Establish baselines, set improvement targets, and optimize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Apply Lean and continuous improvement to reduce waste, cut costs, and improve efficiency.
