Job summary

Dyno Nobel in Simsbury, CT is seeking a Process Engineer to drive continuous improvement across the Electronics Department manufacturing process. You will partner with site leaders to identify opportunities and implement improvements.

This temporary role emphasizes safety (Zero Harm), line balancing, OEE improvements, and waste reduction, with hands-on data analysis and collaboration with maintenance and outside contractors.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Automation, Mechatronics, Electrical or Robotics Engineering.
• 3+ years of manufacturing operations experience.
• Experience with SAP and Minitab.
• Ability to independently identify process problems/opportunities, root cause, and implement solutions.
• Ability to collaborate with maintenance and outside contractors.
• Willingness to undergo ATF background check for explosives possession.
• Positive attitude, team player.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes in the Electronics Department.
• Lead the commitment to Zero Harm through safety practices.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and regulations.
• Increase site productivity via standard work, line balancing, and bottleneck removal.
• Establish baselines, measures, targets, and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
• Align with Business Excellence to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Apply time studies, material/information flows, layouts to identify improvements.
• Lead and sustain improvements with proper controls.
• Collect and analyze data to drive solutions and business results.
• Introduce innovative ideas and technologies to sustain gains.
