Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Cleans and polishes lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, laundry room, locker rooms and other work areas.
- Sweeps, scrubs, mops, waxes, and polishes floors and stairways.
- Dusts furniture and equipment, vacuum carpets.
- Polishes metalwork, cleans tiles and saddles.
- Washes wall and woodwork.
- Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empties wastebaskets.
- Clean vacant apartments as required.
- Check compactor, remove full compactor garbage bags and put out for pick up per schedule. Sweep, mop and disinfect compactor room.
- Replenishes bathroom supplies.
- Clean garage, basement area and grounds.
- Shovels snow and clears walkways in winter.
- Transports small equipment or tools between departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

General Equivalency Diploma or better.
High School Diploma or better.
Preferred Qualifications
Trash Compactor experience.
