Description of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The Temporary Property Security (Residence Halls) unit operates within the Fayetteville State University Department of Police and Public Safety. This unit is responsible for providing security support to the residence halls. This position will be responsible for patrolling the designated residence hall, lobby area, hallways, exterior entrances/exits, and other areas within or immediately around the residence hall. This position will also be responsible for monitoring access in each residence hall by checking IDs and Hall Entry Cards for each student that enters the building along with guest registration during the assigned work hours.
Work is completed primarily on the weekend, 16-64 hours per month (subject to change based on business needs).
Key Responsibilities:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalency and demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. Some positions may require a valid N.C. driver’s license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess a valid North Carolina Driver's License and ability to achieve certification as a DCI operator within one year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 3 years of local law enforcement experience.
