Qualifications

• Supports students with reading and language arts in group and individual settings.
• Assists with classroom exercises, tests and assessments.
• Works with students with special needs in inclusive settings.
• Participates in IEP processes as needed.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce reading, language arts, and math skills with students.
• Work with students individually or in small groups.
• Assist with administration and correction of classroom exercises and assessments.
• Prepare instructional materials and reinforce skills according to student needs.
• Maintain student records and monitor progress.
• Support with behavioral management to keep classroom safe and on task.
• Supervise lunch, bus duty, playground, study hall and other non-instructional areas.
• Accompany students on field trips for supervision.
• Assist with parent contact to encourage involvement.
• Support students with special needs to maximize inclusion.
• Participate in IEP processes as a resource for evaluation team.
• Assist with daily living activities as needed.
• Follow safety rules and regulations.
