Job summary

The Heights Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center is seeking an experienced RN or LPN to serve as Temporary Unit Manager, providing leadership and clinical oversight on a nursing unit in Broadview Heights, OH.

This temporary leadership assignment requires strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills, with collaboration with the Director of Nursing and facility leadership to ensure high-quality resident care and compliance.

Qualifications

• Current Ohio RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, or rehabilitation preferred.
• Prior supervisory or Unit Manager experience preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and standards of care.
• Effective communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to manage a busy nursing unit and prioritize tasks.
• Hands-on, dependable, and professional team support.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day clinical leadership and oversight of the unit.
• Supervise and support nurses and STNAs on the unit.
• Monitor resident conditions and communicate changes.
• Review documentation for care plan adherence.
• Participate in resident care planning and team communication.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, transfers, and condition changes.
• Follow up on physician orders, labs, treatments.
• Monitor documentation and clinical task completion.
• Support infection prevention and fall prevention.
• Assist with staffing coordination and hands-on support.
• Promote communication with residents, families, physicians, and staff.
• Maintain compliance with policies and regulations.
• Participate in audits, QA, and survey readiness.
• Collaborate with Director of Nursing to resolve concerns.
