Job summary

John Scott House Rehabilitation & Nursing Center is seeking a compassionate Unit Manager (RN/LPN) to lead the short-term unit and continue delivering exceptional resident care. This full-time leadership role offers mentoring opportunities, collaboration with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, and hands-on clinical involvement.

The ideal candidate will have MA RN or LPN licensure, CPR certification, and leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care.

Qualifications

• Current Massachusetts RN or LPN license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily clinical operations of a long-term care unit.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Complete resident assessments and oversee care planning.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Participate in the on-call rotation.
• Assist with admissions and clinical problem-solving.
• Provide direct resident care as needed, including occasional medication administration and taking a medication cart to support the team during staffing needs or busy periods.
