Job summary

Acuren is recruiting for temporary NDT/RT Assistants for our Duluth, MN location. You will support calibration, nondestructive testing, and evaluations to determine acceptance or rejection according to instructions while documenting results.

Responsibilities include setting up NDT equipment, assisting Radiographers with calibration, and recording inspection outcomes. The role requires a High School diploma and a technical background, with background checks and a valid driving record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some college coursework preferred for this role.
• Technical background is desirable for NDT support.
• Must be able to pass background checks and related regulatory requirements.
• Motor vehicle driving record must meet company standards.

• NDT Assistants will assist in performing calibrations, Nondestructive Tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations according to written instructions and record results.
• Set up and utilize Nondestructive Test equipment
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment
• Assist Radiographers to conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Record results of inspections
• Assist performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment and other operations
• Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management

Skills

• Must be able to have experience, credentials and history to be certified as Trustworthy & Reliable to comply with federal and state regulations, as determined by a thorough background check
