Job summary

Cape Fox Shared Services and Eagle Health is seeking a Medical Records Clerk to support NIH's Occupational Medical Services in Bethesda, MD. The temporary, non-exempt position pays $30.45 per hour for up to 40 hours per week, with a base of $25.88 and a $4.57 per hour Health & Welfare supplement per SCLS regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years working in a medical office or as a medical assistant.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to prepare paper and electronic medical records for patients.

Responsibilities

• Reviews outside medical records for completeness and routes records to the appropriate sub-section.
• Greets OMS visitors and directs them to staff.
• Answers telephone and directs messages to staff.
• Ensures forms are available and in chart for exams.
• Prepares both paper and electronic medical records for new and established patients.
• Reviews content of patient records and files them in standard order.
