Job summary

Viasat is seeking a Materials Handler to support the energy services division with warehouse, inventory, and logistics duties. You will coordinate material movement, maintain asset registers, and work with transportation teams to ensure cost-effective, compliant domestic moves.

This temporary position requires 2+ years of inventory experience, forklift operation, strong communication, and the ability to lift 50 lb and push/pull 75 lb. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing inventory, materials, and stockroom activities.
• Experience with arranging logistical movements.
• Physical aptitude to lift at least 50lb regularly and push or pull cargo of at least 75lb.
• Knowledge of forklift operation and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task under these conditions.
• Detail oriented, accurate with good organizational, project and time management skills.
• Self-starter, highly motivated and passionate about achieving goals.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Fill customer orders and deliver to internal locations in a safe, accurate manner.
• Schedule domestic deliveries with identified freight forwarders.
• Operate a forklift in order filling duties and inspect/report maintenance needs.
• Support asset tracking, inventory management, and receiving; perform put-away and related duties.
• Assist with other tasks as assigned by group lead.
