Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or Business Management
• Current knowledge of accounts receivable management, basic accounting procedures, insurance/third party billing procedures & computerized office system operations
• Experience in healthcare billing in skilled nursing or assisted living settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Timely establish financial accountability at every admission
• PASARR screenings
• Resolve pending cases for government payor coverage
• Bill Medicaid & Medicare for all covered services provided
• Bill VA and Hospice for all covered services provided
• Monthly close of SNF books
• Manage resident trust accounts
• Effectively manage budgeting, performance and policies within the department
