Job summary

Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Long-Term Substitute Preschool Special Education Teacher in the Student Services division to provide individualized instruction and support to young children with diverse learning and developmental needs. Responsibilities include implementing IEPs, applying ABA strategies, collaborating with families and staff, and monitoring student progress.

This temporary position is from November 2026 through February 2027, with a 7.5‑hour day, Monday to Thursday

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Special Education required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
PDE Instructional Certificate in Special Education required.
Current police, child abuse, and FBI fingerprint clearances within 1 year required.
MA provider clearance by PA and federal government required (CCIU upon hire).

Responsibilities

Provide individualized instruction and support to preschoolers with diverse learning needs.
Implement IEPs and Applied Behavior Analysis strategies.
Collaborate with families and staff; monitor progress.
Plan curriculum using VB MAPP and Batelle inventories.
Serve as case manager on IEP team; maintain records.
Maintain safe, supportive classroom environment.
