Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is seeking a temporary Legends Server in the campus Hospitality department to deliver prompt, courteous service across dining areas. This on‑call role supports event-driven guest experiences and campus dining operations.

As a server, you will greet guests, describe offerings, and relay accurate orders to kitchen and bar while ensuring smooth payment processing. You must stand for extended periods and be able to obtain a bartending license.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a bartending license.
• Must meet the minimum legal age to serve alcohol in Indiana.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Standing for extended periods (up to 6 hours).

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and enthusiastically
• Describe and explain food and beverage offerings
• Accurately create guest orders and communicate them to kitchen and bar
• Serve food and beverages according to high standards
• Present guest checks and secure payment efficiently
• Carry items between dining rooms, kitchen, and bar
• Perform necessary accounting processes to meet server banking standards
