Job summary

The University of Notre Dame is seeking a friendly, experienced part-time bartender for Legends on campus to join our on-call events team. You will deliver beverage service in a high-energy environment with a focus on guest satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities include mixing drinks, taking orders, maintaining bar stock, processing payments via POS, and upholding health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.

Qualifications

• Previous bartending experience preferred; knowledge of drink recipes and bar operations required.
• Ability to obtain a bartending license.
• Must meet the minimum legal age requirement to serve alcohol in Indiana.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
• A positive attitude and a team-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Mix and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standardized recipes and guest preferences.
• Greet and interact with guests in a courteous and engaging manner, taking drink and limited food orders while ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Keep the bar stocked with necessary supplies, monitor inventory levels, and communicate restocking needs to management.
• Maintain a clean, organized bar area and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards—as well as university and state alcohol service regulations.
• Process credit card transactions using a POS system and ensure proper card handling procedures.
