Temporary Instrumentation & Electronics Technician

Position Overview

The Temporary UAW Instrumentation & Electronics Technician is responsible for repair, maintenance, and build-up of electronic test instrumentation at the Stellantis Chelsea Proving Grounds. This role offers exposure to electronic troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and build activities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electronic test equipment, sensors, and meters.
• Build and assemble cable harnesses, circuit boards, and test instrumentation boxes.
• Calibrate sensors and meters, troubleshoot network/PC issues.
• Collaborate with engineering support staff and management.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electronics engineering technology or equivalent.
• Experience in troubleshooting and calibrating instrumentation, sensors, or test equipment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good communication skills for interacting with staff and management.
• Basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in electronics.
• Experience with PLCs, AC/DC drives, industrial controls, data acquisition in an automotive test environment.
