Job Title: Temporary UAW Instrumentation & Electronics Technician

The Temporary UAW Instrumentation & Electronics Technician is primarily responsible for the repair, maintenance, and build-up of electronic test instrumentation associated with various vehicle testing facilities at the Stellantis Chelsea Proving Grounds.

This position offers exposure to a broad range of electronic troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and build activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, PLCs, industrial controls, and demonstrated troubleshooting skills. Additional duties may include general bench work such as building cable harnesses, circuit assembly, test instrumentation boxes, calibrating sensors and meters, and troubleshooting network/PC issues.

Basic Qualifications (Required):

1. Associate's degree in electronics engineering technology or equivalent.
2. Some experience in troubleshooting, calibrating instrumentation, sensors, and test equipment.
3. Motivated to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to provide necessary support.
4. Good communication skills, as interaction with engineering support staff and management is required.
5. Basic computer skills, including MS Office.
6. Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Two or more years of experience working in the field of electronics.
2. Experience with PLCs, AC/DC drives, industrial controls, and data acquisition systems in an automotive test lab environment.
