Job description

Boulder County Assessor's Department is seeking to hire two (2) hourly Temporary Hourly Data Collector's. These positions will work under the direction of the Real Property Appraisal Supervisors. They will be working on data collection, field work, data entry and drawing footprints to aid in the valuation of properties. They may on occasion perform other administrative duties such as researching and identifying properties, scanning and other administrative work. Ideal candidates be detail oriented; customer service focused.

This is a temporary, hourly position working 30-40 hours per week. The hours of this position are Monday-Thursday between the hours of 7am-530pm. This position will work a hybrid schedule, both from home and at 1325 Pearl St, Boulder, CO. This position has an ending date of December 23rd, 2026.

Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work.

Hiring Salary Range: $25.00

Tentative Hiring Timeline:

• Phone Screening: October 5th
• First Round Interviews: October 7th
• Reference Check: October 7th

Responsibilities:

1. Field work collecting property information and photographs of property in all areas of Boulder County.
2. Drawing building footprints using appraisal drafting software
3. Performs data entry and clerical duties
4. Supports staff by researching, collecting, updating, and correcting information about properties
5. Performs related work, as required
6. May be reassigned during emergency situations

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Boulder County is looking for well qualified candidates to fill our positions. Any combination of relevant education and experience is encouraged. In this position, we are looking for a minimum of

• High school Diploma or equivalent

AND

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in an office setting

Additional related education may count towards required experience.

DRIVER'S LICENSE:

• Applicants must have a valid driver's license
• Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Comfortable driving in all weather and in both urban, rural and mountainous areas
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees and the public
• Computer experience with Microsoft products including Excel, Word, Teams and Outlook
• Proven ability to learn new software
• Detail oriented
• Ability to use a computer with basic skills in Microsoft Office Products and internet-based assessment system or willingness to learn
