Innovations PSI in San Francisco is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary GL Accountant to join the accounting team. You will work closely with the Accounting Manager to support month-end close, reconciliations, and reporting.

This temp-to-perm role emphasizes GAAP compliance, data accuracy in NetSuite, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years in GL accounting and strong Excel skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in accounting/finance.
• 3–5 years of GL or corporate accounting experience.
• NetSuite experience required; hedge fund/private equity experience preferred.

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Maintain accurate documentation for all transactions
• Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal control policies
• Provide audit support by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
• Support budget preparation and quarterly projections
• Contribute to consolidation processes, variance analysis, and expense segmentation
• Work within NetSuite to ensure accurate data entry and reporting
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in accounting workflows
• Support special projects and executive requests as needed

• Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation for all transactions
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and internal control policies
• Provide audit support by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries
• Support budget preparation and quarterly projections
• Contribute to firm-wide consolidation processes, variance analysis, and expense segmentation
• Work within NetSuite to ensure accurate data entry and reporting
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements in accounting workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 3-5 years of GL or corporate accounting experience
• Hedge fund or private equity experience is strongly preferred
• Hands‑on experience with NetSuite is required
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Advanced Excel skills
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
