Job summary

Lighthouse Search Advisors is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team in Orlando, FL. This hands-on role covers the full accounting cycle, supporting the general ledger, month-end close, journal entries, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate will have NetSuite experience and a strong foundation in corporate accounting, with manufacturing/distribution or inventory-based industry exposure preferred. Collaboration with Finance and Operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Hands-on NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
• Strong general ledger and full-cycle accounting experience.
• Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Manufacturing, distribution, or inventory-based industry experience preferred.
• Ability to independently research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work across Accounting, Finance, and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and other accounting adjustments.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Assist with preparation and analysis of financial statements.
• Review general ledger activity for accuracy and proper classification.
• Support inventory accounting, cost accounting, and related reconciliations as applicable.
• Assist with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain accurate accounting records within NetSuite.
• Support internal and external audit requests.
• Partner with Operations and other departments to research and resolve accounting issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting.
• Assist with ad hoc accounting projects and analysis as needed.

Our client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its growing accounting team. This is a hands-on, full-cycle accounting position responsible for supporting the general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate has experience working in NetSuite and a strong foundation in corporate accounting. Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, or other inventory-based environment is highly preferred.

This is not an AP or AR-focused position. The Staff Accountant will have direct responsibility for core general ledger activities and will work closely with Finance and Operations across the business.
