Job summary

Minnetonka Public School District seeks an Advanced Learning (Gifted and Talented) Temporary Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The 1.0 FTE position supports elementary students identified for advanced learning and collaborates with teachers and families to provide challenging instruction.

The role emphasizes differentiating for gifted learners, data analysis for identification, and regular communication with parents through SeeSaw, Schoology, and conferences.

Qualifications

• Must hold Minnesota K-6 Elementary Education license.
• Experience with advanced learning or gifted programs is desirable.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for high-ability learners.

Responsibilities

• Provides challenge and social/emotional support for academically advanced and intellectually gifted students.
• Assists classroom teachers in differentiation for students needing extension.
• Analyzes multiple data points to identify students for extension and service.
• Communicates regularly with parents via SeeSaw, Schoology, newsletters, calls, emails, conferences.
• Consults with AL staff and building administrators on program, curriculum and student concerns.
• Provides professional learning to staff on differentiation and gifted education methods.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature.
