Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Paramedic/EMT for the Emergency Services area. Under direct supervision, you will perform routine patient care duties, assist in treatment rooms, and support the Registered Nurse in charge of Emergency Services.

You will complete documentation, explain physician orders to patients, instruct on home equipment, and participate in emergency procedures including CPR and wound care. A temporary assignment of approximately three months is possible.

Qualificações

• Minimum of six months (1,040 hours) experience in hospital acute care, emergency department as EMT or Paramedic.
• Paramedic certificate (California) OR EMT certificate (California) and Basic Life Support.
• Good verbal and written communications skills; computer skills (PC or mainframe).

Responsabilidades

• Completes documentation and serves as information source for patients.
• Adheres to nursing care standards and promotes teamwork.
• Instructs patients on general health and home self-care procedures.
• Explain and clarify physician orders with patient or parent; instruct on home equipment use.
• Responds to Code Blues and initiates emergency procedures; prepares and positions patients for procedures.
• Prepare rooms and equipment; transport patients; manage specimens and samples as needed.
