Job summary

FALCATA is seeking a Temporary Assembler at our Huntsville, AL Discovery location to support our production division.

You will perform basic and intricate assembly on prototype and production hardware, read wiring lists and drawings, and work from work orders. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with opportunities to learn IPC standards and contribute to quality.

Qualifications

High school diploma with 1+ years of production/assembly experience.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings, and procedures to ensure components are assembled per specifications.
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. US citizen with ability to obtain security clearance.
Experience with assembling sub-assemblies and attention to quality.

Responsibilities

Performs basic and intricate electronic/electro-mechanical assembly functions on prototype and production hardware.
Assists in development and wiring of engineering models and assembly methods.
Uses hand or power tools to trim, shim, cut, and align components; follows wiring lists and schematics.
Reads work orders from visual aids, ECNs, and drawings; may perform rework per standard procedures.
May assist in instructing and training lower-level assemblers; may set up equipment.
