Job summary

FALCATA in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Temporary Assembler to build electronic/electro-mechanical prototypes and production hardware to strict military or client specifications.

You will read wiring lists and assembly drawings, use hand and power tools, and help develop assembly methods while training junior team members.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and US security clearance eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 1+ year of production/assembly experience, or a related Bachelor’s degree.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions, assembly drawings and procedures.
• Knowledge of IPC standards (IPC-610, IPC-J-STD, IPC-620).
• Experience testing PWBs per defined procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and intricate electronic/electro-mechanical assembly on prototype and production hardware.
• Assist in development and wiring of engineering models and assembly methods.
• Read wiring lists and drawings, work to work orders using ECNs and schematics.
• Use hand or power tools to fit components and align them correctly.
• May train lower-level assemblers and perform rework per procedures.
• Stand, walk, and handle tools; operate equipment for prep, loading, and insertion as needed.

FALCATA is seeking a Temporary Assembler at our Huntsville, AL Discovery location to support our production division.Responsibilities:Performs basic and intricate electronic/electro-mechanical assembly functions on prototype and production type hardware according to company workmanship standards and military or client specifications. Assists in the development and wiring of engineering models and in the development of assembly methods and wire lists. Uses hand or power tools to trim, shim, cut, and make other adjustments to fit components together and align them properly. May assist in instructing and training lower-level assemblers. Reads and interprets wiring lists and assembly drawings and works to work orders using visual aids, ECNs, and schematics. May perform any rework from test failures in accordance with standard repair procedures and may set up and operate automatic prepping, loading, and insertion equipment. The employee may frequently be required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
