Job summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a temporary, on-site team member to support voters and county operations. This role assists with voter registration forms, handles mail-in ballots, answers inquiries by phone, and processes mail.

Candidates need a high school diploma, basic computer and typing skills, clear communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Good computer and typing skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, and elected officials.
• Ability to work a flexible, temporary schedule.
• Bilingual preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists the department with Voter Registration Forms and mail-in ballots.
• Answers telephone calls and responds to inquiries and/or directs to proper person.
• Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
• Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
