Job summary

Story County seeks personnel to test and calibrate voting equipment, perform site checks at polling locations, and troubleshoot devices on Election Day across the county. Responsibilities include delivering, assembling and retrieving voting equipment and supplies at precincts, following a defined delivery route, and providing on-site technical and supply support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Election experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Program election equipment using programming media and a checklist.
• Sort, clean, inventory, and load polling place supplies with a checklist.
• Load and deliver equipment to county voting locations before Election Day via a designated route.
• Provide both technical and supply support to polling locations on Election Day.
• Inspect polling locations for compliance using a checklist on Election Day.
• Transport election results after polls close to the Commissioner of Elections on Election Night.
• Recover equipment from polling locations after the election.
• Clean, sort, and store equipment after the election.
