Job summary

GOODWILL CENTRAL COAST is seeking a part-time Customer Service associate at our Capitola store to receive donations courteously and follow procedures for sorting and packing donations. You may perform related duties such as material handling or processing as needed.

Responsibilities include maintaining the donation area, greeting donors, issuing receipts, recording donations, and assisting sales staff with floor display preparation. On-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate in basic oral and written English.
• Ability to communicate in basic Spanish preferred.
• Duties can be learned on-the-job.

Responsibilities

• Maintain donation area inside a retail store, keeping area neat, clean and organized.
• Greet donors and explain reasons for item rejection as needed.
• Offer and issue donor receipts and record donation details.
• Assist with packing and sorting donations for display or processing.
• May perform store material handler or store processor duties as required.
