Job summary

West-Hartford-Dental-Associates is seeking a Temp Dental Hygienist to join our Clinical Operations team from January 2027 through May 2027. The role runs Monday through Thursday with specific hours: Mon-Wed 7:30 am–6:00 pm and Thu 7:30 am–2:00 pm, with flexibility for extended hours as needed.

The Hygienist will deliver preventive and therapeutic care, document findings, educate patients, and collaborate closely with dentists to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care in a modern practice

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• New graduates welcome to apply.
• Strong communication, patient education, and interpersonal skills.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and patient privacy standards.
• Detail-oriented with commitment to clinical excellence.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Experience with Carestack or similar dental software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide preventive dental care, including prophylaxis cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, and periodontal maintenance.
• Perform periodontal assessments and therapies, including SRP and ongoing periodontal maintenance.
• Take dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations and company standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment plans in Carestack.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and periodontal health.
• Communicate professionally with patients and team members.
• Assist dentists in diagnosis and planning of patient treatment.
• Ensure sterilization, maintenance, and proper organization of instruments.
