Job summary

Allegan Family Dentistry is seeking a temporary Dental Assistant for maternity leave coverage from January to March 2027. The role involves chairside assistance, radiographs, room prep, and maintaining infection control in a supportive, team-oriented office.

The ideal candidate has dental assisting experience; CDA/RDA credentials are a plus but not required. Open Dental experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Dependable and professional dental assistant.
• Previous dental assisting experience preferred; not required.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting for general dental procedures.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and materials.
• Take dental radiographs and maintain sterilization protocols.
• Assist with restorative procedures (crowns, impressions/scans) and general dentistry.
• Maintain efficient patient and clinical flow throughout the day.
• Provide patients with a friendly and comfortable experience.
• Collaborate with dentists, hygienists, assistants and front-office team.
