Colorado Parks and Wildlife in Colorado Springs is seeking a temporary customer service associate for an 8-month assignment, starting 11/02/2026 and ending 06/30/2027. The role focuses on greeting customers, answering questions, processing sales of park passes, licenses, and registrations, and supporting staff.

Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, ability to work outdoors in all weather, lift up to 50 lbs, and be available for weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Sell park passes, hunting/fishing licenses, OHV/boat registrations and enter revenue totals.
• Sell, inventory, and order merchandise.
• Light cleaning of Visitor Center facilities and other duties as assigned.

A customer service-based position that provides information and handles all aspects of product sales to customers while providing support to the staff. Daily interaction with customers requires effective communication and public relations skills. Specific duties include but are not limited to:

• Work directly with customers to greet, answer questions and help them purchase any products.
• Answer questions about local wildlife, human wildlife conflicts, and state parks.

Pursuant to the DNR-120 Fleet and Driving Standards Administrative Directive, any worker who will be expected to drive a State-owned vehicle is responsible for maintaining a safe driving record and a valid driver license prior to driving any State-owned vehicle.

To be compliant with the new fleet vehicle policy, Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) will be pulled for review for workers who:

• Have an assigned State fleet vehicle
• Are required to operate a vehicle as part of the position
• Utilize a State fleet vehicle as a pool vehicle
