Job summary

American Cruise Lines is hiring Deckhands for the 2026 season to work aboard ships for up to 28 weeks. You will support safe voyages, assist guests, and perform deck, logistics, and cleaning duties across ship operations.

This introductory cruise hospitality role requires 18+ years old, U.S. citizenship or Green Card, and adherence to pre-employment drug testing and grooming standards. Housing and meals are provided aboard.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Pre-employment drug test for all shipboard employees is required.
• Consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited during service.
• Grooming standards apply and 28 weeks of shipboard employment is temporary.

Responsibilities

• Handle lines, gangways, anchors, and marine equipment under Captain/Mate guidance.
• Perform daily exterior cleaning, line handling, and cargo/logistics support; stand helm watches.
• Stand gangway and deck watches including security, maintenance, and passenger assistance.
• Load/unload guest luggage and ship supplies; assist with daily ship logistics.
• Clean exterior decks, verandas, windows, furniture, and marine spaces.
• Wash, dry, and fold ship laundry.
• Maintain professional grooming and uniform appearance.
• Be available to assist guests and crew as needed.
• Rotate through day-night watches with approximately 12-hour shifts.
