American Cruise Lines, the largest U.S. cruise company, is hiring Deckhands for the 2026 season. You will work on our ships to ensure a safe and seamless voyage for all guests, as a proud representative of our brand.

This is a temporary, shipboard position for 28 weeks. Responsibilities include handling lines and deck watches, exterior cleaning, luggage handling, and guest assistance, with 12-hour days and rotation through day-night watches.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Pre-employment drug test required for all shipboard employees.
• Temporary employment not to extend beyond 28 weeks; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Handle lines, gangways, anchors, and marine equipment.
• Daily exterior cleaning, line handling, and logistics support; stand helm watches.
• Stand gangway and deck watches for security, maintenance, and passenger assistance.
• Load and unload guest luggage and ship stores; assist with daily logistics.
• Clean exterior decks, verandas, windows, furniture, and marine spaces.
• Wash, dry, and fold ship laundry.
• Maintain professional grooming and uniform appearance.
• Be available to assist guests and crew.
• Rotate through day-night watch; average 12 hours daily.
