Position Title: Temporary Concessions Crew Member Compensation: $15.92/Hr Department: Recreation Services - Temp Start Date: 09/11/2026

What you'll do and what you'll bring

Position Description: The following description is intended to indicated the kinds of duties and level of difficulty required of positions with this title and department; it is not intended to limit the right of the supervisor to assign, direct, and control the work of any employee under their supervision. Employees are expected to perform their daily work duties and responsibilities at the standards set by management. Employees are also expected to understand and apply universal precautions to their daily work duties and responsibilities. Perform a variety of tasks included but not limited to what is required in the preparation and serving of food, cashiering, cleanliness, proper inventory counts, and receiving food and beverage items and maintain a positive customer service and fan experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Accurately assemble supplies and materials
  • set up service area and serve food as required
  • Set-up, prepare, serve, and maintain proper food, non-alcoholic, and alcoholic beverage sales and handling procedures, and other duties related to the concession stand area operations
  • Hand wash and store pots, pans, and food service equipment and clean equipment, condiment areas, and work area, maintaining sanitation and safety
  • Scape and wash dishes
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of concession stand area
  • Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of concession stand area
  • Disposing of materials properly
  • Perform checker/cashier duties using computerized machinery, terminals, calculators, and maintain records which includes, but is not limited to:
  • Operated and maintain accurate cash drawer during shift
  • Count, wrap, and verify money
  • Keep money and reports secure at all times
  • Properly and legally serve alcoholic beverages in a safe and effective manner
  • Clean equipment and work area, maintaining sanitation and safety
  • Greet customers to ensure positive relationships and positive fan experience
  • Assist in the accurate record keeping of inventory items for both food and beverage items, cash drawer reconciliations, food temperatures, food expiration timelines within a concession stand
  • Set-up, operate, and clean dishwashing machinery and auxiliary equipment; move dishware and equipment to proper locations
  • Count and record amounts of food prepared and/or served
  • Grill, steam, carve, and prepare food as required
  • Receive, count-in, obtain and maintain supplies for storage areas and concession stand operations
  • Clean, prepare, store, and deliver fresh produce
  • Maintain a professional work environment
  • Wait and bus tables as assigned
  • Enforce all rules and regulations, including but not limited to proper payment of food and that proper procedures are following employees regarding the payment of food; report all violations immediately to management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

The above listed essential functions required varying degrees of independence, judgement, and discretion. All of the above listed tools, activities, functions, requirements and conditions will be used in varying degrees. Note: The duties/responsibilities of this position, and the percentage of time required to perform those duties/responsibilities may vary significantly based on shift assignment and decisions of management. All of the above duties/responsivities are to be performed at the standards set by management.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, and University policies, procedures, and communications.
  • No allergies to soaps, cleaning agents, oven cleaners, or other materials or environmental factors in food services, e.g., steam, dust, etc.
  • Must have clean body, teeth, hair, nails, and clothing.
  • Must be able to perform all physical and mental requirements outlined in each job duty/reasonability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in cashiering and using a computerized cash register.
  • Experience in fast food, snack bar, dairy bar, or similar commercial establishment.

Requires successful completion of a background check.
