Position Overview

This position collaborates with the medical team to provide optimal medical nutrition therapy to patients of all ages, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics. It involves working with department members to improve food service and quality care.

Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and Licensure

• Registration with the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics.
• Licensure through the West Virginia Board of Licensed Dietitians or applicable state licensure.
• State and federal criminal background checks as required.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least one year of clinical experience.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive medical nutrition therapy, complete physician consults, document assessments, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient nutrition. Additional responsibilities include supervising team members, attending meetings, developing educational programs, and ensuring quality standards.

Physical and Work Environment

Requires frequent walking, sitting, and standing. Work is primarily in patient care units, with some office and community engagement. Reasonable accommodations are available for disabilities.
