Job Summary
Vendor Specialists are responsible for building and maintaining relationships with vendors and internal teams to improve the quality of information for our drop shipment customers. They utilize multiple software tools to assist internal and external teams, manage open drop ship orders, and provide updates to customers. They review reports to assess vendor performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities
- Vendor Management
- Build, manage, and leverage relationships with vendors and procurement to enhance the customer experience.
- Serve as an expert contact point for assigned vendors.
- Evaluate vendor performance using metrics and reports, and propose solutions for improvement.
- Assist in vendor onboarding and educate vendors on drop shipment processes and expectations.
- Customer Support
- Collaborate with order optimization and internal departments to ensure effective order processing.
- Follow up on open purchase orders to keep customers informed.
- Communicate issues and solutions regarding drop shipped orders.
- Address customer emails by troubleshooting and resolving issues to improve vendor performance.
- Continuous Improvement
- Propose additional reporting needs to enhance customer experience and vendor performance.
- Identify opportunities to reduce email volume.
- Evaluate and suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Physical Requirements
- Work while sitting or standing, interfacing with a computer.
- Communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Use hands for grasping and manipulation.
- Occasionally bend, squat, crawl, climb, reach.
- Occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
Remote Work Qualifications
- Reliable, high-speed internet (preferably cable or fiber).
- Home router and modem.
- Dedicated, noise-free home office with strong or wired internet connection.
- Physical address for receiving equipment (no PO Boxes).
- Ability to work and communicate via chat, webcam, etc.
- Legal residents of specified states; H-1B sponsorship not available, W2 only.
Experience
Education
- Diverse backgrounds considered; preferred in Supply Chain, Vendor Management, Customer Service, Business Administration, Communications, or related fields.
