Job summary

Snap-on is seeking a Claims Adjuster I for an onsite, temporary assignment at the Corporate Headquarters in Kenosha, WI. You will handle property and casualty claims for franchisees and corporate losses, conduct investigations, and negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys with minimal supervision.

The role covers bodily injury to complex cases and runs for an estimated 3–4 months, supporting the Corporate Risk Department. Strong licensing and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6–8 years in claims handling.
  • Active adjuster licenses in all required states.
  • Strong investigative, analytic and negotiating abilities.
  • Proficient with MS Office and written/verbal communication.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of claims administration for property and casualty.
  • Investigate, evaluate damages and negotiate settlements for casualty claims.
  • Investigate property/franchisee inventory claims and negotiate with franchisees/insurers.
  • Establish reserves and manage files for prompt closure.
  • Coordinate with Insurance carriers on GL and business auto programs.
  • Support financial reporting of losses to Snap-on SecureCorp.
  • Maintain accurate notes on claim history in the system.
  • Assist with agency administration and claims handling for Snap-on SecureCorp Insurance.
  • Serve as first escalation for complex claim handling situations.
