Job summary

Snap-on Tools in Kenosha, WI is seeking a Claims Adjuster I for an onsite, temporary assignment in the Corporate Risk Department. You will handle property and casualty claims from franchisees and corporate, including Auto, Fleet, GL/PL and Inventory losses, with minimal supervision.

This 3–4 month assignment requires investigation, evaluation, and negotiation of settlements, establishing reserves, and coordination with insurers. Excellent communication and licensing in multiple states are needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 6–8 years of claims handling and insurance experience.
• Licensing as an adjuster in all required states and accreditation.
• Strong investigative, analytic, and negotiating skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and claim systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work with franchisees, employees, and experts.
• Experience with a national carrier or third-party administrator; independent caseload.

Responsibilities

• Handle all aspects of claims administration for property and casualty claims for company and franchise network worldwide.
• Investigate casualty claims, evaluate damages and liability, and negotiate settlements.
• Investigate, evaluate damages for property and franchisee inventory claims; negotiate with franchisees and carriers.
• Establish reserves and manage files for prompt closure.
• Coordinate with Insurance carriers on GL and business auto programs.
• Support financial reporting of losses to Snap-on SecureCorp.
• Maintain notes on claim history in the system.
• Review medical records and negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys.
• Assist Snap-on SecureCorp Insurance with agency administration and claims handling.
• Act as first level escalation in complex claim handling with entry-level adjusters.
