Job summary

Ancora Education in Ohio is seeking a temporary CDL Driver Trainer to support Amazon Career Choice at the Cleveland area location. This role trains students in over-the-road, range, and classroom settings and supports end-of-season training for a temporary period not exceeding 90 days.

The position reports to the Program Director or Lead Driver Trainer and requires a CDL, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 3 years of on-the-road experience. DOT physical and drug testing are mandatory.

Qualifications

• CDL required with appropriate class level for the position.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 3 years of verifiable on-the-road experience in the last 5 years.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and DOT drug tests on hire and ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Promotes and maintains a positive learning environment.
• Train students in trucking/driving and administer written tests.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections and air-brake tests.
• Instruct backing maneuvers and parking procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Interact professionally with students and staff at all times.
