Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and related experience.
• 1 year of continuous public safety experience at a higher education institution, or two years of security officer experience.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Knowledge of applicable laws related to safety and security, emergency management, and related protocol.
• Ability to perform building and area safety and security tasks and patrols.

Responsibilities

• Patrol campus facilities and parking areas, identifying dangers or violations.
• Enforce parking policies and issue tickets as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and suspicious activity; prepare incident reports.
• Lock/unlock buildings and manage access; coordinate with incident responders.
