Montgomery College is seeking a Temporary Public Safety Officer for the Rockville campus. The role involves patrolling parking lots and surrounding grounds, enforcing parking rules, and responding to emergencies to keep the campus community safe.

Shifts include day, evening, and some weekend hours; a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and CPR/First Aid certifications are required. A fingerprint/background check is part of the hiring process.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of continuous public safety experience at a higher education institution, or 2 years as a security officer.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Knowledge of federal and state safety/security laws, emergency management, and related protocols.

Mansioni

• Patrol campus parking lots and grounds, identifying hazards or violations.
• Enforce parking policies and issue tickets or tow vehicles when needed.
• Respond to emergencies and suspicious activity, coordinating with authorities as required.
