Job summary

Promega Corporation is seeking a temporary AV technician to assist with the installation and deployment of Cisco audiovisual equipment across campus meeting spaces. You will prepare devices, run cables, configure gear, test systems, and help troubleshoot issues to ensure reliable operation.

You will work with the AV team and facilities staff, gaining hands-on experience with enterprise AV platforms and different equipment types.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years installation or IT/AV experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in unpacking, staging, and inventory of Cisco Room Systems devices prior to installation.
• On-site installation and physical setup of Cisco AV equipment in conference rooms, including mounting displays and running cabling.
• Test device connectivity, network connectivity, camera framing, and audio levels after installation.
• Coordinate with facilities, IT, and end users to schedule installations and manage logistics across buildings.
• Assist with cabling identification, labeling, and documentation to support fleet management and troubleshooting.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and escalation of device issues discovered during installation or testing.
• Transport AV equipment between storage, staging, and installation sites, handling up to 75 lbs.
• Communicate progress updates and installation status to the AV management team.
• Support production events and large meetings with setup, operation, and troubleshooting as assigned.
