Job summary

Pitzer College, part of The Claremont Colleges, seeks a Temporary Associate Director to support study abroad programs in Claremont, CA. The role focuses on advising, outreach, and program enhancement while covering two SAIP staff absences.

Responsibilities include marketing, onboarding students, coordinating fellows, and maintaining program materials. This is a part-time, on-campus, temporary position with up to 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience advising students in study abroad or international programs.
• Knowledge of inclusive, student-centered advising practices.
• Experience with marketing, outreach, and promotion of programs to students.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse groups.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic marketing, communications, and outreach for SAIP Office.
• Maintain communications to campus stakeholders via website, email, and social media.
• Coordinate SAIP Fellows and student workers in outreach efforts.
• Develop materials for pre-departure resources and program information.
• Present at campus events and orientation sessions.
• Advise students on study abroad programs and visa requirements.
• Ensure Terra Dotta records and approvals are up to date.
• Support office event organization and reporting.
