Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, is seeking Archaeological Field Technicians for immediate temporary, project-based, full-time employment in Gainesville, VA. You will participate in surveys, excavations and lab work under senior staff archeologists.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in Archeology or related field with field school or 3 months field experience, willingness to travel up to 50% with per diem and lodging provided, and ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varied

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Archeology or closely related field and field school or at least three months of field experience.
• Willingness to travel (per diem and lodging provided on projects more than ~90 miles from the office).
• Physical ability to conduct archeological surveys and lift 50 pounds.

Responsabilités

• Participating in archeological survey, excavations and laboratory work under the direction of staff archeologists
• Artifact identification and processing
• Preparing accurate field notes and documentation
• Interpretation of soil strata and creation of field maps showing excavations and site boundaries
