Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc., a Davey company, seeks an entry-level Survey Technician to join our Gainesville, Virginia team. This role supports wetland locations, tree surveys, topographic and bathymetric surveys, and related fieldwork, with an emphasis on precise data capture and safety.

You will work in a team environment, travel regionally as needed, operate surveying equipment, read maps, and report observations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Willingness to travel regionally to support projects.
• Ability to work safely and independently outdoors.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D, Land Desktop and GIS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team environment on wetland and related surveys.
• Assist in wetland locations, tree surveys, topographic and bathymetric surveys.
• Capture land information accurately to support schedules and budgets.
• Assist in summarizing observations and reporting field data.
• Operate survey equipment and read maps.
• Communicate with property owners and agencies for access.
