Job summary

Florida International University's FIU After-School All Stars program in Miami seeks dedicated teachers/tutors to support enrichment and development activities after school. The role involves tutoring in ELA/ELL, Math, Science, and coordinating wellness and workforce-related projects with supervision from the Site Coordinator.

The position runs August–May, 2 PM–6 PM, and reports progress and attendance to the Site Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related discipline required.
• DCF 45 hours Child Care Facility Training required.
• Florida Child Care Staff Credentialing Certificate must be obtained within 60 days.
• CPR/First Aid Certification must be obtained within 30 days.

Responsibilities

The FIU After-School All Stars is currently seeking for their afterschool enrichment and development programs to join their team of professionals.

Duties include: Instructing/tutoring students in academics (e.g. ELA/ELL, Math, Science, etc.) activities, facilitating health/wellness, cultural and workforce development activities (e.g., Fitness, Culinary Arts, Drama, Coding, Certifications, etc.) while working with Site Coordinator.

Teacher/Tutors will lead all activities, report progress and record attendance to the site coordinator on a regular basis.
