Job summary

The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County (HOC) seeks a Temporary Program Assistant I to provide administrative support to staff working with the Housing Choice Voucher and project-based programs, based at the Silver Spring Customer Service Center.

You will schedule and monitor correspondence, perform data entry and general clerical tasks, assist with hearings and reports, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• At least two years administrative or clerical experience.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong customer service and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and monitor client/applicant correspondence.
• Assign and disseminate incoming correspondence.
• Perform data entry and general clerical tasks such as distribution of mail.
• Schedule informal hearings.
• Process weekly/monthly reports.
• Track appointments and other project tasks.
