Purpose

This position provides transactional and administrative support -- including purchasing, ProCard and voucher processing, reimbursements, scheduling, room reservations, and day-to-day office logistics -- for the College of Natural Sciences area for Experiential & Career Learning. The position will sit on an administrative team of three people to support multiple large academic programs and initiatives led by staff and faculty.

Responsibilities
  • On a daily basis, this position will process purchasing and ProCard transactions, process payment vouchers in DEFINE, and manage credit card payment deposits/receipts. The role also handles reimbursements, manages scheduling and room reservations, supports on-campus interview logistics for the Career Services office, and provides calendaring support for the Senior Director, as well as occasionally providing event support throughout the semester.
  • Additional responsibilities include day-to-day office logistics for Painter Hall, including supplies, keys, and shipping/receiving. This position will function as part of an administrative team to support all the constituents of the Experiential & Career Learning offices for their various business needs for student-facing activities.
Required Qualifications

High school graduation or GED. Three years of administrativel experience. Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook and Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree. Experience with and knowledge of UT policies, procedures, and systems including DEFINE and SmartSheets. Previous experience with UT accounting, purchasing, travel, and vouchering. Experience working in an institution of higher education; demonstrated ability to interact professionally with different stakeholders.

Hourly Rate

$20.00

  • Work hours are from 8 to 5
  • Expected around business hours, but some flexibility around exact start/end times. Potential to work 1 day remotely.

Employment Eligibility
