Job summary

Monterey County Office Of Education is seeking an Accountant in Finance & Business Services for a short-term assignment. You will perform complex accounting, budgeting, and reporting of financial transactions, and monitor budgetary and cost records with precision.

You will research, analyze, and resolve fiscal discrepancies and provide technical and procedural assistance to supporting staff, under limited supervision. Prior school finance experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or business administration.
• Three years of professional accounting and fiscal control work experience.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
