Responsibilities

• Transport and unload materials in a timely, safe manner in line with Tyson policies.
• Receive and check in product.
• Move full cages from trailers to the cage dump infeed conveyor in proper order.
• Retrieve empty cages from the outfeed conveyor and reload them onto trailers.
• Dump the DOA vat into offal trailers several times per day.
• Set aside cages needing repair for the live production cage rebuild department.
• Ensure paperwork is complete, neat and accurate.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Details:This position is responsible for ensuring all materials are transported and/or unloaded in a timely manner while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.The Forklift Operator is responsible for receiving and checking in product.The Forklift Operator removes full cages from the trailers and places the cages on the infeed conveyor of the cage dump system in the proper order..He picks up the empty cages from the outfeed conveyor of the cage dump system and makes sure that the empty cages are put back on the trailer properly.Two to three times daily he dumps the DOA vat into the offal trailers.Report any damage done to trailers, cages, fans, forklift, trucks, or product immediately.The Forklift Operator is responsible for setting aside bad cages in need of repair for later pickup by the live production cage rebuild departmentEnsures that all paperwork is complete, neat and accurate before turning it in.All other duties that may be assigned.

MUSCULAR/SKELETAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOBCapable of operating an all terrain forklifts.Capable of visually inspecting product by the cages.Good hand/eye coordination.Subject to external environment, heat, and cold.Capable of working in excess of 8 hours per shift and up to 6 or 7 days per week when required.Various small hand toolsRehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 90 days.Forklift 7A requirements: 6 months continuous work history with single employer in the past 12 months AND 6 months of forklift experience within the last 12 months.
